You are a leader of a youth organization called 4H Food and Nutrition Project. Create an email with the following information. (Do not assume that this information is grammatically correct!) The audience for the email is a group of 4H parents. Your purpose is to make sure that your parents know when and where the meetings will take place and what they need to bring to each meeting.
Definition of the food and nutrition project: The food and nutrition project helps participants learn to make healthy food choices, improve energy and alertness, reduce disease and illness risks, and gain knowledge of nutrients. Major learning experiences are centered around nutrition, menu planning, food buying, preparation and food safety, careers, and cultural practices.
First meeting: Thursday, October 24, 2020
Total of three project meetings: Thursday, October 24, 2020; Thursday, November 26, 2020, and Thursday, December 20, 2020.
Snack schedule: October 24 (the Smith family), November 26 (the Jones family), and December 20 (the Martinez family)
Other families will have a chance to bring snacks in the spring.
For the first meeting, please help by bringing a certain type of milk (1 quart is enough). Smith—Fat-free milk; Jones—Whole milk; Martinez—soy milk substitute. We will be comparing and contrasting different types of milk. Make sure that you bring the original container of the milk so that we can read the nutritional information printed on it.
For the second meeting, please bring a copy of the My Food Pyramid mini poster. You can find the guidelines on the USDA website. We will be making a meal at this meeting and will have to explain how it fits with the USDA’s food pyramid. Be thinking about what you might want to make! Our theme is “Budget-Friendly Family Meals.”
For the third meeting—cookie exchange. Bring three dozen of your favorite cookies in three separate containers. (One dozen = 1 container.) Include a copy of the recipe with each batch of cookies. You will get to take three different dozen cookies home with you. I love Christmas!
The meeting will be at the [insert your name] house. They live at 1264 Main Street, Conroe, Texas, 77382. You can look up the address on map quest.
