The structure will be:
First paragraph is a short (~300 word) summary of the readings. For full credit, please be sure to mention the name of the author(s) and the title of the article or chapter you are discussing. Note that this is not a test of reading comprehension – this is not a test to see if you “get” the reading. Instead, I use this as evidence that you engaged with the reading.
Second paragraph is a bit more open. It could include questions you might have, a connection you want to draw between the reading and your experience, a connection you want to make between the reading and another idea from the class, a critique of the reading. Please do not talk about being confused – I study this stuff for a living and often *I* struggle with these ideas! Instead, point out things that interest you or that you want to know more about.
As you read, use the ideas we’ve discussed in class (disinformation, misinformation, bullshitting, fake identities, persistence, and so on) to pick apart what you’re reading.
