Marketing Plan
▪ Design a marketing plan for your agency utilizing the 4-P’s (make sure to address each one in your plan). This plan should include how you plan to share the news about your services with the community. How are you going to present your agency? Web presence (you are currently building it), brochures, billboards? How much will each cost?
▪ If you plan to use newspaper ads, how much will the space cost? Whom do you intend to target with news paper ads?
▪ The best agencies are “branded” and easy to remember. Does your agency have an identifying logo? Are you consistent with its use?
▪ Will you purchase letter head and envelopes for your agency? If so why? What are the costs?
▪ If your agency plans to hold fundraisers and has identified outlets for this, how will you incorporate these events into your marketing plan?
▪ If you are willing to go the extra mile and have a marketing plan ready to go you will: have established a logo, written a PSA for radio use, published a mock agency brochure, and perhaps sketched out a rough publish of your first news paper ad or flyer.
▪ All new expenses need to be documented in the budget prior to your final submission.
Technology Plan (Please Reference the Reading on Technology for this task)
▪ How will your agency utilize technology as part of the health education delivery process?
▪ Will you use Mac or IBM computers? How will this impact networking? Will you purchase or lease these machines?
▪ Will you use prepackaged or custom built software?
▪ Whom is your agencies internet service provider and how much will this cost?
▪ Will you have color or black/white printers? Remember..toner is expensive!
▪ Will you purchase overhead projectors and laptops? Kiosks?
▪ Will you contract with an IT person to provide your organization computer support?
▪ Will you contract with a Web Designer?
▪ How sophisticated will your switchboard be?
▪ Will your agency accept donations via the internet? If so, what are the costs for accepting credit cards? Whom will monitor donations and do you have this function included in someone’s job description (or will the rats and roaches do it?).
▪ How will your agency ensure confidentiality of client records via the internet?
▪ Are there special technology needs for your organization based on the age and experiences of your population?
▪ All new expenses need to be documented in the budget prior to your final submission.
