• Read and annotate the essay or speech.
• Complete a 150-250 word summary of the essay or speech.
• Below your summary, in one sentence (which will become your thesis eventually), write what you believe the author or speaker’s overall message/ argument is, and whether the author or speaker was effective, some-what effective or in-effective at delivering this message.
• Compile 3 lists, labeled ethos, pathos and logos, and provide specific examples from the text categorizing them, like you have practiced in Unit 3.
